Excellent fresh sushi - one of the best sushi restaurants I've been to. Went twice - great meals both times.

Best sushi in the Boston area. Have taken Asian clients and they have been much more impressed than of the ones in the city. Can be a little pricey, but worth the quality because the fish is as fresh as you get without making it yourself at home with The New Deal fish market, East Cambridge, MA...the absolute freshest of all. Other Asian and Japanese claim Oga's and one in Brookline called Shiki are the most classic and best. Supposedly Shiki is Daisuke's favorite. haha. Besides I believe they are the only ones actually owned by Japanese in the Boston area. Say hi to Masa (looks a little like Mr. Miyagi) at the front, he is wonderful. Most amazing non-classic dish on the menu is the Tuna Tostada...cannot ever go without getting it. Also, if you want a quiet dinner/lunch request one of their tables with a door. Cheers and good eating.

Just west of Route 27 on Route 9 West, Oga's Japanese Cuisine offers plentiful convenient and free parking and a traditional menu of Japanese cuisine including bento boxes and ala carte sushi. During a recent visit, my lunch included Miso soup, Hamachi (yellowfin) and Ohtoro (fat belly) tuna. The service was prompt and precise. The soup and sashimi were perfectly prepared and presented and although somewhat above market pricing the complaint this reviewer found with Oga's was not with the food or the service. The acoustics at Oga's ruin any chance of a conversation during a business lunch unless you are comfortable hollering at your lunch guests between bites. If you are eating alone and you have your iPod, this place is 5 stars. Point at the menu works with your server, as it often does, but if you want to communicate with the person across the table keep the earbuds in and try texting.
Cuisine-excellent; Service-limited English; Atmosphere-too loud, way too loud

One of the best Japanese places I have been to in all of Boston. Top three I would say. Great talented chefs, fresh fish, amazing!

For the prices that they charge, the service is very spotty. The sushi is very fresh, but overpriced compared to other places. And the alcohol is waaaay too much as well. Maybe fancy pants Wellesley and Weston folks like it, but I was not impressed.
