(From Our Glossary Feature)
Teppanyaki is a Japanese style of cooking (also known as "hibachi") where items are cooked on a hot plate or griddle that is part of a large table where diners eat. Foods cooked at a teppanyaki table include beef, chicken, fish, and vegetables. Many Japanese restaurants that feature teppanyaki-style cooking offer multiple-course meals that include salads, soups, and appetizers that go along with the main entrees.
