(From Our Glossary Feature)

Sliders are mini-burgers that are often served as appetizers, typically at bars, lounges, and pubs. Sliders tend to weigh about 2 ounces, and are placed in tiny hamburger buns with small pieces of lettuce, onion, tomato, and cheese sometimes added. White Castle's tiny burgers, which are steam-grilled, are considered sliders. (Note: Sliders can also be spelled with a "y," as is the case with White Castle's burgers.)
