Help! Back Bay Restaurant For Cheap But Nice Meal?
(From Our Questions and Answers Feature)
We are flogging ourselves for agreeing to meet old friends who are staying in the Back Bay on the day before our son gets married. But we've committed to doing it so we're looking for "cheap but nice" places around the Copley Fairmont Plaza to meet them for a quick dinner around 5:30-6 pm. Thanks for your help!

There are a number of options within walking distance of the Copley Fairmont Plaza, some of which are in the Back Bay and some of which are in the adjacent South End. For the former, you might want to check out either Casa Romero on Gloucester Street (Mexican), Caffe Jaffa, also on Gloucester Street (Middle Eastern), or Chili Duck on Boylston Street (Thai). For the latter, options include Dish on Shawmut Avenue (New American), Coda on Columbus Avenue (upscale pub), House of Siam, also on Columbus Avenue (Thai), or Don Ricardo's on West Dedham Street (Peruvian/Brazilian).
