I just so happened to be visiting from out of town and I remember watching a Food Show or Network or something, possibly 3 or 4 years ago and I remember them talking about "Steamed Burgers." We ate at this place, twice during the 3 days we were in CT. I love the food, and it takes minutes for them to fix your burger. The cheese is the BEST I have ever tasted. I would recommend this place to my vegetarian friends, because I'm sure after trying this place, they would switch over....with a BIG smile.

*****Zippy from Waterbury, CT, says:
Had a cheeseburger w/ onions. The burger was very moist and tasty. The counter guy was an ass...should not be in a customer dependent job!

*****Tackleberry from Shelton, CT, says:
Ate 2 steamed cheeseburgers yesterday, and they were so good. The paper plate was soaked with juice, not grease. One of the best cheeseburgers I have had in a long time. Don't miss out on eating at a landmark.

*****Tom Curtis from Rockville, MD, says:
The best hamburger in the world. The steamed cheeseburgers with everything are a must for anyone traveling in the Northeast. A small diversion on I691 will be well worth it.

Glad to read reviews wanting to take motorcycle ride out there to check it out. Glad to check reviews not wanting to waste gas NO FRIES NO RIDE LOL. Thanks Travel Channel.

*****LC from Hartford, CT, says:
Very disappointing. Bland, very small burgers. And they don't even offer french fries (just home fries breakfast-style). I'm sorry but not worth the trip at all.

*****KWA from Tewksbury, MA, says:
Did not live up to the Travel Channel buildup. Small; with three booths, a counter. Two old picnic tables outside. Definitely a lunch place. Menu limited to the steamed cheeseburgers and a couple of other things. I expected to be wowed after the Travel Channel review and I wasn't. Burger was tasteless, though moist. Melted cheese was good, my son had just a melted cheese with no meat. He liked it. Not worth the trip.
