The Pleasant is one of my all-time favorite restaurants. I've been going there, off and on, for 45 years. (My grandparents used to live in the housing project nearby, so my parents and I would often eat there after a visit. I've kept going since I enjoyed it so much as a child.)
Fantastic pizza, perhaps the best in Boston. I would also recommend the spaghetti with meat sauce. Superb classic red sauce.

I grew up in W Roxbury and every time I get in this section of town, I drag anyone who is with me to the Pleasant for some of the best Pizza and food around. I love their Sausage Pizza and the onion rings are killer, my wife loves the Veal Parm. You cannot go wrong here; great food, low prices.

The Pleasant is a casual Italian restaurant that I have been going to for years. The pizza is the best in all of Boston - thin crust, homemade dough and sauce - simply put - AMAZING. You cannot go wrong. But try their Seafood, Prime Rib and Chicken Parm. You will not be disappointed.
