I haven't actually been to the Pier 77, but to its much more quirky sibling, The Ramp, downstairs. You can get the same incredible food as the more elegant Pier 77 upstairs, but in a tiny little bar area with a great view, filled with the locals, and a wonderfully eccentric atmosphere to boot! I had the standard Maine fare of a lobster roll and their onion strings on the side. The onions were amazing as was their homemade smoked tomato ketchup. We also had great appetizers and shared a wonderful chocolate dessert (it was a year ago so I can't remember the details). When I go back to Kennebunkport, this is going to be my "hangout."
