On one of our first dates (We have been married this month for 5 years), my husband wanted to take me out to dinner. I was not from the area mind you...he said we are going to Lawton's By The Sea and I was so excited. Am I dressed ok for such a lovely sounding place and he says...Yes...you're fine. You can imagine my surprise....I loved it!!! I NEVER eat footdogs, but after eating a Lawton's footdog I was hooked. We used to get 3 double orders, 1 for my husband, 1 for me, and one for old Shelby our dog. She grew up on Lawton's as well. ITS THE BEST!!!!

Lawtons (by the Sea) is one of the best hot dog places on the face of the planet. The works ( mustard, relish, cooked onions) are a must on the almost foot long hot dog. I hear they have other things on the menu, but in 20 years haven't tried any of them.
