READERS' REVIEWS OF ANGELICO'S:
*****FG from Kensington, CT, says:
The worst meal EVER. First of all, the frozen margarita was nothing more than a pile of crushed ice, no flavor, no alcohol.
The chicken was perhaps a 3 ounce piece of dried breast with the skin on. The asparagus was raw and the meal was so over salted that even my husband who likes salted food could not eat it.
Waitress said "sorry, what can I tell you guys."
I will never go again, even if the meal were free.
What a shame, since it is such a nice location, but how can you enjoy when the meals are waay overpriced and nothing comes out of the kitchen with a nice flavor or presentation.

The food is inconsistent. The decor is nice but the food does not follow suit.

If I were a newspaper reporter, I would start my headline as: Angelico's Lakehouse Restaurant puts East Hampton on the fine dining circuit. Having watched the restaurant over the years overcome the tremendous growing pains that all successful businesses need to address to grow, grow it has, from an excellent and varied menu to an outdoor Tiki bar with live music second to none, weather permitting Wednesday to Sundays. The scenery doesn't get any better than overlooking beautiful Lake Pocotopaug and the passing boats. A relaxing and memorable visit will be enjoyed by all.

Simply put, this is a bar not a restaurant. A very expensive bar at that!!
