Some Restaurants for College Students to Check Out
So it's late August and college students are getting ready to return to the Boston area (or are already here), and for newcomers to the city especially, one of the most important questions is, "Where can I get some good food around here?" Well, there are countless options near colleges and universities, but included here is a list of some of the lesser-known spots (including a handful of places that we have reviewed), most of which are inexpensive enough to not put much of a dent into the budget. We matched up five restaurants each with some of the biggest colleges and universities in the area, with most eateries being within walking distance of (or a short bus/subway/cab ride away from) the listed schools. [NOTE: Part 2 of this list can be found at http://hiddenboston.com/blogentries/more-college-eats-0812.html]

The gourmet food truck scene has blossomed in Boston over the last 12 months and there are lots of delicious, very reasonably-priced options to choose from. Some local favorites are Lobsta Love, Paris Creperie, Staff Meal, Grilled Cheese Nation and Frozen Hoagies. Most can be found in The Back Bay and Downtown/Financial District but Harvard has several on campus (1 Oxford St, Cambridge)and many are selling at SoWa Sundays in the South End.
Happy Eating!
