Reader Reviews of Dylan's Bar and Grill, Andover, MA

Being a professional chef and foodie for 15 years, I've had my share of terrible meals but never felt the need to write a bad review before this one. The decor was drab, the service unfriendly, and the food horrific. Overpriced and overcooked, it was like the food you'd expect to find at a retirement home. I can't believe a place like this can stay open.

(Posted by kith from North Reading, MA, in Massachusetts Restaurants section)

Open 24 hours, 7 days a week. Good prices, good food, large portions, service is usually not too bad! And if you like bacon cheeseburgers, order up a big rig!!! They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner any time of day. Overall good home cooking!

(Posted by jlm from Hermon, ME, in Maine Restaurants section)

Sakurabana is a great place to pick up reasonably priced bento boxes at lunch. It's a bit hidden from main streets in the Financial District, but worth seeking out.
We loved it! Be sure and try Peter's crab cakes and the pate, which came with a fresh-baked baguette. Entrees were made to order, and seasoned to perfection. The best part was the dessert - warm homemade apple pie. All for a price most reasonable!
If we were taking guests from outside New England to a seafood restaurant, Champlin's would be one of our first choices.
The VD is a great little spot, although it is overshadowed a bit by its neighbor Rein's Deli. I can't say much about the entrees at the VD, but the club sandwiches are quite good.
Reader Reviews of Hu Ke Lau, Chicopee, MA

Ok, you are totally paying for the atmosphere here. The food is nothing special. In fact, it's pretty bad and overpriced compared to other similar restaurants. Everything on the menu sounds good, but once it's brought to your table and you put your fork in your mouth, you immediately start to regret spending the money. Everything here is about $2-3 dollars more than your average Chinese/Japanese restaurant. Even the soup!

(Posted by Lu from Chicopee, MA, in Massachusetts Restaurants section)

Reader Reviews of the Country Spirit Restaurant, Henniker, NH

I finally got around to trying the Country Spirit Restaurant over the past weekend. It was pretty good overall, but service was slow (though friendly), they were out of their soup of the day, and one of our orders was messed up. The atmosphere was less rustic than I was expecting, with the restaurant almost seeming more upscale than homey. But it wasn't bad, and I thought that my entree (chicken francaise) was pretty tasty.

(Posted by MH from Boston, MA, in New Hampshire Restaurants section)

There have been some extremely expensive places that come somewhat close, but that is the beauty...

(Posted by Mike from Portsmouth, RI, in Rhode Island Restaurants section)

Reader Reviews of the Chelsea Royal Diner, Brattleboro, VT

Older railroad car diner, added to in the back. Restrooms very clean...there may be a long line waiting, but it moves right along quickly. The food is excellent...much variety, breakfast served all day. The waitresses are also excellent...always pleasant, always eager to please and always on the run. I'm never happy with prices anywhere, but compared to other places they are pretty darned good. You can't go wrong here...there is something for everyone.

(Posted by d.k. from Brattleboro, VT, in Vermont Restaurants section)

Reader Reviews of Court House Seafood, Cambridge, MA

Very fresh fish; I cannot stop ordering the fried sole but I have had other things such as the oysters. I cannot stand the chowders. Everything else I have tried is superb. It is hard to find fresh fish at cheap prices in Boston so I am so thankful this place is around. Please give it some publicity if you like it!

(Posted by Margaret from Allston, MA, in Massachusetts Restaurants section)

Reader Reviews of Wright's Farm Restaurant, Harrisville, RI

Wonderful family tradition - every year we hit the apple orchards of northern RI and then head to Wrights Farm. Great family style food, inexpensive, and can always accommodate for large family seating. Highly recommended!

(Posted by The White Family from Rehoboth, MA, in Rhode Island Restaurants section)

Reader Reviews of Pier 77 Restaurant, Cape Porpoise, ME

I haven't actually been to the Pier 77, but to its much more quirky sibling, The Ramp, downstairs. You can get the same incredible food as the more elegant Pier 77 upstairs, but in a tiny little bar area with a great view, filled with the locals, and a wonderfully eccentric atmosphere to boot! I had the standard Maine fare of a lobster roll and their onion strings on the side. The onions were amazing as was their homemade smoked tomato ketchup. We also had great appetizers and shared a wonderful chocolate dessert (it was a year ago so I can't remember the details). When I go back to Kennebunkport, this is going to be my hangout.

(Posted by Betsy from Derry, NH, in Maine Restaurants section)

Reader Reviews of Jacks Grill, Housatonic, MA

I always try to eat at Jack's when I'm in the Berkshires. It's very friendly and relaxed, the menu is varied but simple, and the prices are right. It's just the unpretentious restaurant I like.

(Posted by CSH from New York City in Massachusetts Restaurants section)
