Local Breakfast Places in the Boston Area?

(From Our Questions and Answers Feature)

What are some good local breakfast places in the Boston area? I'm thinking particularly of neighborhood townie joints that are cheap, friendly, and have decent food and coffee. [Go here to post a reply.]

The Salem Diner in Salem, MA, has an amazing old fashioned breakfast served in a railway car diner on 1A in Salem. Not many seats. A trip back in time.

Too many to name, but I'll try. Zaftigs in Brookline, Breakfast Club in Allston, Eastern Standard in Boston, Grafton Street in Cambridge, Highland Kitchen in Somerville (breakfast AND weekend brunch choices). And even though it's a chain, Paparazzi has a complimentary bellini or mimiosa with any breakfast option on Saturdays and Sundays, and I can't turn down free booze!
