Moogies in Brighton on Chestnut Hill Ave is heavenly. You'll get outta there for just under $10 but you won't need to eat again for the whole day. Favorites: Mother-Child Reunion (fried chicken w a fried egg on sub) and the LoveChild (French Toast Sandwich w Ham, Turkey, and Swiss) - they sound weird but they're HEAVENLY!

Anna's Taqueria, any of their locations, not only for their good prices but because the service is fast. Carl's Subs in Waltham is fantastic, but I can rarely afford the wait.

Il Panino Express on Hanover St. in the North End has great pasta dishes and sandwiches all made fresh, while you wait. Similar dishes to their sit down restaurant across the street, but for less $$$.

Men-Tei on Hereford, between Boylston and Newbury. AMAZING (and cheap) Japanese noodle house with incredibly fast service. Surprisingly large portions too!

Eat at Jumbo's in Somerville has been my place of late. Since I saw them on the Phantom Gourmet I think their food is addictive. They have best burgers in Boston I swear. Great thin crust pizzas, jumbo crispy wings, tenders and tofu tenders in 34 flavors that my girlfriend loves. See the menu at www.eatatjumbos.com They are cheap and provide free delivery....

BBQ Town in Roslindale not only has the best BBQ I have ever had (I'm from the South where not just any BBQ will do) but it is crazy cheap for SO much food. One dinner plate for $10 ($12 if you want yummy ribs) is so much food I get three meals out of it always! The food is awesome, and they deliver which is a big plus!

I like Border Cafe. Wouldn't call it authentic Mexican or even Texmex. But it's still really good. Lots of good dishes under $10.
