Pizzi Farm Ice Cream

Pizzi Farm has a fantastic variety of ice cream flavors as well as several variations of soft serve. Combined with toppings of every sort their ice cream is to die for.
Generous servings, helpful staff and an owner that is always looking for better ways to serve his customers, Pizzi Farm, located at the intersection of Lake Street and Lincoln Street in Waltham is a treat for both kids and the kid at heart.

Very nice place to bring your wife for an awesome special event. We go every year on our anniversary (and a lot more during the year). The menu is delicious and they have a great wine list and everything is always perfect every time we go. The place is very warm and inviting.

Royal East
792 Main Street
Cambridge, MA 02139
Phone: (617) 661-1660
The Royal East on Main Street in Cambridge has the best Chinese food in the Boston area. It's a no-frills place with takeout and plenty of seating. Prices are more than reasonable. I could go on and on with my favorites ... here are just a few:
Chinese eggplant with shrimp paste in black bean sauce; vegetarian dumplings (not on the menu - handmade, the best I've ever had!); five spice tofu with Chinese celery; baby bok choy with shrimp; ginger and scallion lobster. Be sure to try some Chinese veggies and don't miss the Suan La Chow Show soup.

Zo
3 Center Plaza
Boston, MA 02108
Phone: (617) 227-0101
ZO at 3 Center Plaza - Boston, MA is a great new Greek lunch spot. Incredible homemade authentic gyros like I have only had in Greece. Not the typical processed mystery meat you more commonly see in the States. Check out the reviews on Yelp or Chowhound and its location is TRULY hidden. It's at 3 center plaza, but up the outdoor escalator in the court yard of the Suffolk Superior Court House.

Luciano's Restaurant
800 Washington Street
Wrentham, MA 02093
Phone: (508) 384-3050
This restaurant is a little pricier than most, but boy do you get your money's worth. The food - regular menu and especially the specials - is fantastic. Also, you get a lot of it, everyone takes home a doggie bag. The service is very good, and they always make you feel welcome and comfortable. We've been many times and have never been disappointed.

Firebox BBQ
347 Great Road
Bedford, MA 01730
Phone: (781) 325-1653
OK, its not in Boston but that's also the point, a new BBQ, ahem, evolved BBQ joint opened in Bedford called Firebox BBQ (www.fireboxbbq.com) and it is spectacular, I have made the 25 min trip out there about once a week the past month.
The sauces really stand out, they are a bit more creative than traditional fare, yet follow the templates, resulting in the next level of fire based pork happiness in my opinion.
Specifically the mango-chipolte sauce and S.Carolina mustard (with fresh ginger and rosemary) are plate licking good!
Go check em out next time you are west of the city, i HOPE they will open a location in town soon!

Gardner Ale House
74 Parker Street
Gardner, MA 01440
Phone: (978) 669-0122
Just off route 2 between Boston and Greenfield, the Gardner Ale House is the new mecca for artisan beer, great music, and fresh and healthy food. Lots of the selections are organic, and a vegetarian can find plenty of tasty dishes - while the omnivores in the group can sink their teeth into tempting burgers and fries. And did I mention the beer brewed on the premises...superb! Lots of fun events, too, such as the Oktoberfest and costume parties. And on top of it all they have the BEST e-newsletter. The owner, Rick, is the ultimate raconteur, so even if you can't make it out to visit, you can enjoy a monthly comedy routine, via Rick. I think you can sign up at the website: www.gardnerale.com. And did I mention the beer...I think they won second place in the UK - which is a pretty high accolade for a Massachusetts brewery. See you there!

Tastings Wine Bar and Bistro
201 Patriot Place
Foxboro, MA 02035
Phone: (508) 203-9463
Tastings Wine Bar and Bistro Foxboro MA, Patriot Place.....one of the best restaurants in the region. I consider myself an experienced diner and this is the place I have fallen in love with! Food is just simply put...fabulous! Haute American Farmhouse cuisine is how the chef describes his food, sourcing from some of the best farms in the country, and he recently won an award for being one of Bostons Rising Star Chefs. Service is excellent and the wine list has over 60 to choose from by the glass...I live south of Boston and now I don't need to drive to the city for fine dining. By far up there as one of my favorite restaurants.

Lansdowne Pub
9 Lansdowne Street
Boston, MA 02127
Phone: (617) 247-1222
My favorite restaurant is The Lansdowne Pub in Fenway. It's great for food, drinks and really good music. It feels like a neighborhood pub even though they just opened.
They serve Irish Breakfast every day until 1 a.m and are starting to do Brunch on Sundays with live Irish music; the menu looks amazing.

Randy's Restaurant
2918 State Route 28
Old Forge, NY 13420
Phone: (315) 369-2888
Randy's Restaurant, in Old Forge, N.Y., is one of comparitively few who have broasted chicken on their menu, and upon trying that form of prepared chicken, it was considered by those who indulged the best broasted chicken ever eaten. There was no skin; the outside was unparalleled in its crispiness, and the meat inside was divinely moist.
For those who are anywhere near Old Forge, which is near the western edge of the Adirondack State Park, and want a unique experience in a form of prepared chicken quite rare these days, this sparkingly clean and friendly eating oasis must not be missed. It is right on route 28 in Old Forge Village - don't miss out!!
